Air Force JROTC Receives Model Rocketry Grant

Cabell Midland Air Force JROTC Students to Build and Launch Rockets

The Cabell Midland High School Air Force JROTC has received a $2,245.62 grant for Model Rocketry.  The grant is being presented with support from the Governor’s STEM Initiative and the West Virginia Department of Education and the Arts.    

According to Major “Retired” Hank Luke, Air Force JROTC instructor, “When students return from spring break, we will spend three weeks learning about rocket history and flight theory.  At the conclusion of our study students will build and launch their own rockets.”  Air Force JROTC is a part of the Agriscience and STEM Academy at Cabell Midland High School.
